Please take a few minutes to provide your feedback in the annual BCPS Stakeholder Survey, available now at http://www.bcps.org The survey will be open through Friday, March 3rd. All responses are anonymous, and the survey is available in 16 different languages.


PHMS Art Students Participate in "Name Your Donation" Art Sale at White Marsh Mall 

The Fourth Annual "Kindness for Paws" fundraiser featured work by our students again this year!  The artwork by Perry Hall Middle School students and others could be viewed from Feb. 3rd to Feb. 11th at White Marsh Mall, and sales took place during the reception on February 12th. All proceeds from this event support homeless pets at the Maryland SPCA. Update:  PHMS teacher and students featured in the Baltimore Sun!


Talented PHMS Art Students Win Local and National Recognition

Seraphim Sculpture

Congratulations to Mareisha Banga and Tiffany Qiu, eighth graders in Ms. Momenzadeh's art class, who recently won Silver Keys in the sculpture category for the Scholastic Art Awards, a national contest.  Mareisha's sculpture, pictured above, is entitled Seraphim and Tiffany Qiu's sculpture entitled More Than a Label and pictured below, are just two examples of the award-winning artwork produced by our PHMS students.

Thanks also to the 39 seventh grade students who submitted entries in this year's National PTA Reflections Art Contest. Our local PTSA selected four top award winners, who received certificates and prize ribbons on January 13th during morning announcements.  Their entries have now moved on to the Baltimore County PTA Council Reflections contest, and the winners will be chosen this month. Our local PHMS winners were as follows:  Award of Excellence to Brianna H. for "Colors" and Awards of Merit to Petra H. for "Mindscape;"  Akua O. for "My World," and Grace D. for "Wave of Music." Honorable mentions were also awarded to the following four students:  Fatima S. for "The Story of My Family and Life;" Riley J. for "A Crossing of Paths;" Kate M. for "Be You Be Free;" and Angela M. for "Swirling Memories." PHMS PTSA - School Color Run Event - March 25th

The PHMS PTSA is sponsoring a "My School Color Run" event on Saturday, March 25th at Perry Hall Middle. This is a one mile fun run for students and families of Perry Hall to create awareness for healthy living and raise funds at the same time!  The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  See attached announcement. Interested in participating? April Concert/Fundraiser

A concert in April will feature our own very talented PHMS seventh grader and accomplished pianist, Scott Nuss.  See this flyer for additional details.

BCPS Grading and Reporting Policy

The new Board of Education
Policy 5210 Grading and Reporting was approved in June of 2015 for full implementation beginning August, 2016. The 2016–2017 Grading and Reporting Procedures Manual can be downloaded from the BCPS Grading and Reporting Web site.  The Web site also includes sections on Research, Rational, and Frequently Asked Questions.

We encourage you to visit the Grading and Reporting Web site, ask questions, and provide feedback. This addendum to the Grading Policy was published on November 7, 2016.

During the school year, parents and students should check BCPSOne routinely for information about each class, including missing work or assignments that need to be discussed with teachers. Please access the videos below for assistance with BCPSOne.

Online Gradebook Access

Grades and class information will be accessed through BCPSOne to keep parents and students informed of progress in all classes.  Activation codes for parents are sent home and have an expiration date. Please be sure to activate your code as soon as possible.
Students should use their BCPS Internal username and password to access the system. 
Parents can use the BCPSOne Quicklink on the right side of this page to access more information about the BCPSOne system. 


A Day/B Day Calendar 

There is a specific format for A days and B days for the school year.  The school will follow the attached calendar, which is set by the county.  Click for Details.
