- Who is the main character, and how does he/she change during
the course of the book?
- What is the main conflict in the novel, and how is it resolved?
- Is the title of the book an effective one? Why or why not?
- Are there particular passages that you thought were powerful?
How does the author's choice of words or descriptive images contribute
to the passage?
- How important is the setting (time and place) to the novel?
Nonfiction Books
- What is the subject matter of the book, and what attracted
you to it?
- What are some new facts or ideas you learned from reading
this book?
- Have your ideas changed about this topic after reading this
