Creating the yearbook for PHMS is a collaborative project requiring two yearbook advisors to guide and supervise students’ work and progress. Students apply to be part of the yearbook staff. We strive to produce a journalistic yearbook while covering as many students in the school as possible. We teach our yearbook students journalism, graphic design, photography, and business skills that are necessary to create and produce a large publication. This work requires students to understand publishing finances, to interview, to write copy, to check facts, to take pictures, to create pages, to design, to edit, to polish, and to collaborate with each other to ensure deadline completion.
